Prawns Biryani With Saffron
Ingredients

     

    • 500 gm Prawns
    • 300gm Basmati Rice
    • 2 tablespoon of Saffron
    • 4 Onion-finally chopped
    • 2 tomatoes finally chopped
    • Cinnamon stick (1 inch)
    • 5 tablespoons Ginger-Garlic Paste
    • 2 tablespoons Turmeric powder
    • Dried Coconut powder
    • 2 tablespoons Garam masala
    • 3 tablespoons red chilli powder
    • Salt as required

Saffron prawns biryani is a rich dish cooked with saffron, basmati rice and fresh prawns and is one of the famous dishes in India. You might have seen plenty of biryani recipes; however the cooking method remains the same, only spices differ. About ghee or oil, it is up to you how you want to fry onions and other things; nevertheless a good biryani is always has to be roasted in oil while onions have to be fried well in ghee or oil.

Method:-

  1. Take prawns in a bowl; add 3 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste, 1tbs turmeric powder, 1tbs garam masala, 1 tbs salt, 1 tbs red chili powder. Mix it and keep aside for marinating.
  2.  Wash basmati rice and keep aside
  3. Heat 4 tablepoon of oil in a big vessel
  4. Add chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, Cinnamon stick in vessel; and stir it till onion is brown.
  5.  Add washed rice into vessel ,1 tablespoon of saffron and mix it well.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and mix all other ingredients. Mix well
  7. Add salt as required
  8. Add 5 cup of water.
  9.  After the gravy comes to a boil, simmer and cook until all the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked.

  This recipe is so good! I am going to bookmark this page. I only need to prepare 2 servings, so I assume I can just divide everything by 2. I will post a follow up once I prepare in smaller quantities. Preparation is a key when making this recipe.

  Basically, this biryani is made only from prawns and rice but first time somebody has added saffron in it.This is fabulous idea which will make this dish very tasty.This is beyond five stars.Thanks for sharing.
